2019 National Forum on K-12 Philanthropy
April 3-4, 2019
Registration is now open!
The collaboration between Denver-based funders and K-12 leaders has attracted national attention from philanthropic peers, advocates, and teacher talent alike, resulting in diverse solutions for learners in both urban and rural communities. From school design and accountability and incentivizing principals to act autonomously, Denver leaders and funders have committed to positively change the system from within.
In recent years, this creative spirit has helped in response to the plateauing of student enrollment as gentrification sets in and real estate surges make school space increasingly difficult to obtain. Denver’s challenges have compelled local donors and entrepreneurs to think inventively when it comes to both resource allocation and what a classroom should look like.
Donors will have a chance to interact with their peers in a city that serves as an instructive bellwether for many of the challenges and innovations donors face in their own communities.
