What You Can Do
Protect the Charitable Deduction
The Alliance for Charitable Reform is a strong opponent of limitations or caps to the charitable deduction. During these fiscal cliff negotiations, proposals to cap or limit the charitable deduction have been a looming threat. Our position is unambiguous – limits on the charitable deduction would reduce charitable giving and create increased burdens on charitable organizations and the constituents they serve.
ACR urges you to contact your Members of Congress and voice your concern over proposals to limit the deduction. With charities already stretched thin and so many of our friends and neighbors in need, now is not the time to be doing anything that could reduce giving.
Make your voice heard. Here’s how…
5 minutes
- Call the White House (202-456-1111), Speaker (202-225-0600), and your
members of Congress: House / Senate and tell them:
- Charities are already stretched thin and now is not the time to be doing anything that could reduce giving. Please oppose any cap or limitation to the charitable deduction.
- Leave your name, city/state, contact information, and how the limitation would impact those you serve in your communities.
